Detective Senior Constable Wayne Ryan, of the Warranmbool police crime investigation unit, said the clergy house at Our Lady Help Of Christians in Warrnambool’s Selby Road was burgled between 7pm Sunday night and Monday morning.
The offender smashed a window at the rear of the home to gain entry and then searched through every room in the hunt for valuables.
“A television and computer were stolen and every room in the home was ransacked,” Detective Senior Constable Ryan said.
“This is brazen offending involving a soft target where no cash is kept.
“The vast majority of people would be outraged and we request anyone with information to contact the Warrnambool police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” he said.
