Hampden league powerhouse Camperdown (three) boasts the most players of any club in the 12-strong squad, while Timboon Demons (two), Dennington (two) and Cobden (two) also have strong representation.
Open grade coach Nadine McNamara was pleased with the spread of talent in the squad.
“We want to make it something for players to work towards,” she said.
“It’s fantastic to see people put their hand up for it. We contacted a couple of in-form players to see if they wanted to have a go and the response was great.”
