Chair of the organising committee Mark Towner said the day had been organised because it became clear the south-west community was still struggling after last season when milk prices crashed.
“We are blown away by the amount of people that attended and it shows how important these kinds of events are,” Mr Towner said.
The day was a collaboration by local Rotary and Lions clubs, South West Model Engineers, WestVic Dairy and sponsors.
Free activities including face painting, gum-boot tossing, dog high jump, guess the weight of a bulker bag, merry-go-round rides, mini-golf and miniature train rides.
Local motor sport identities displayed their go-karts, speedway cars and a V8 Improved Production Car. Entertainment included appearances by Spiderman, the Bubble Man, entertainer TIM TIM and live music.
