More than 90,000 Richmond fans are expected to pack the MCG, but the South Warrnambool product isn’t buying into talk of increased pressure for his Giants outfit.
It will be the second preliminary final in Cameron’s four season stint as Greater Western Sydney coach.
The 45-year-old is in with a chance of leading the expansion club to its first flag.
“We’ve spoken about it for about 30 seconds. We’ve played in front of big crowds in Adelaide, but we understand that’s almost two fold at the MCG,” he said.
“The Tigers have enormous support. We don’t want our players to shy away from that.
“I’m confident the 22 we pick will have some fantastic moments, and they’ll have some moments where they look back and think ‘we could’ve been better there’.”
The Giants fared well in their last big stage hit-out, defeating Sydney in front of 60,000 people in last season’s qualifying final.
