Married for almost eight years now the young parents say not many things divide their happy Koroit home.
Saturday’s Hampden football league grand final clash between Port Fairy and Koroit however, might just throw their union into disarray.
Terry Hamilton played junior football at Koroit and has been a Saints supporter for almost 20 years.
He said he’s confident the Saints will bring home another win but worries weather might be a determining factor.
“If it’s dry I think Port Fairy will have the upper hand,” he said. “Koroit will have the edge if it rains.”
Wife Jo, who played all her junior netball in her hometown said Port Fairy deserved to take the glory.
“I think Port Fairy can do it,” she said. “They’ve come into their own in the last few years.”
The duo were also divided on who would win best on ground honours.
“It’d have to be Ben Goodall wouldn’t it,”Terry said.
Jo disagrees. “No, It’ll be Nicholson, Dan Nicholson.”
The couple agree on one aspect of the contest – the likely margin.
“I hope it’s close,” Jo said.
“Yes, it’ll be a good game,” Terry said. “It’ll be two goals either way.”
The Hamilton family will be sitting together at Warrnambool’s Reid Oval on Saturday, half dressed in red, black and white, the other in purple and gold.
