Outdoor Adventure Expo begins at Warrnambool

The Warrnambool Racecourse has been transformed into a camping wonderland with hundreds of caravans, motorhomes and boats on display this weekend.

Warrnambool Outdoor Adventure Expo event manager Jeff Leech said the expo, which began on Friday, was a one-stop shop featuring more than 400 caravans, campers, motorhomes, boats and cars.

He said national and local dealers were exhibiting and highlights included the latest caravans and motorhomes from brands including Jayco and Avan. “The main advantage is you will see all the major brands in the one place where you can look, compare, buy and negotiate,” Mr Leech said.

There is a full size swimming pool, spas, fishing rods and reels and and the latest satellite phones and systems on display. It also boasts an “accessories supermarket” filled with items from Lyal Eales Store.

“The racecourse is the ideal setting,” Mr Leech said. “It’s a vast area – the whole racecourse is full. Every inch of grass in the place is being used. It’s all here. It’s big.”
