South West Coast MP Roma Britnell has thrown her support behind the proposed rehabilitation facility, called The Lookout, and is hosting a raffle to raise $15,000.
First prize is high tea in Melbourne at Parliament House for four people, donated by Mrs Britnell, and a limousine service from Warrnambool to Melbourne and back, donated by Garry Lane Limousines. Mrs Britnell said she was choosing to support The Lookout as it was a worthy cause.
“It’s about being a part of the community in a true sense,” she said.
Tickets are available at the MP’s office on Liebig Street, and other Warrnambool businesses, including the front office of The Standard. The winner will be drawn on Friday, October 27.
