Netballer Jacqui Bowman says it was Koroit’s family-friendly attitude that first attracted her to the club. While husband Mark played for the Saints during her first pregnancy, Jacqui was soon drawn to what she described as a “perfect fit for the kids”.

What do you most love about Koroit? The people involved at the club. It has a great family atmosphere which makes it enjoyable for my whole family.
Describe Koroit in five words: Family. Friendly. Tight. Knit. Community. What do you do to immerse yourself in the community? I play and coach netball for KFNC. My kids participate in Koroit netball, football and basketball and my husband works at Murray Goulburn.
What are you reading at the moment? I love to read but I only read when I’m on holidays.
If you had a million dollars what would you do with it? Pay debts, take family on a holiday and invest. Maybe do a bit of shopping! What career did you want to pursue when you were a teenager? Anything involving sport or fitness.
What would your ideal Sunday involve? Having a sleep in until after at least 7am and then spending the rest of the day with the family going on adventures.
What is something people might not know about you? I'm pretty much an open book but I did sing in the church choir when I was younger (I cannot sing!)
Do you sleep talk or sleep walk? Not regularly but I have been known to sleep swim.
If you could choose to go back 100 years or forward 100 years, what would you do and why? Probably forward. I'd love to see the advancements in medicine and have a cure for cancer.
What recipe are you renowned for cooking for family or friends? I'm not a very adventurous cook but my go-to is lasagna or sushi for family. I'm probably known for my punch recipe among friends.
If you had all the time in the world to pursue and perfect any hobby what would it be? I've always wanted to surf or play a musical instrument.
When and where are you your happiest? Around family and friends having a good laugh.
What is the best piece of advice you've been given? You can always learn something. Do you have a motto you live by? Enjoy life and don't sweat the small stuff.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? No idea. I don't know what I’ll be doing in one year’s time. Hopefully travelling and watching the kids grow up and starting their own families.
