Dobson pulled on the hoops just 12 times this season, but managed a club-high 22 majors to lead the Cats’ goalkicking.
The 24-year-old told The Standard he was content but not satisfied with his output in 2017.
“I was happy with how I went, but there’s still lots of room for improvement in my game. You never want to be too comfortable,” Dobson said.
“Compared to last year, I definitely built my game up and got a little bit stronger and better this time out.
“Hopefully I can really improve and have a good crack next season. I want to play the majority of my footy with Geelong.”
Dobson said he would continue to extract knowledge from Geelong’s coaching staff in a bid to improve.
“I don’t know how people don’t take advantage of the facilities (and resources) at Geelong because they’re the best in the country,” he said.
