The awards, which will be held in Camperdown on October 13, aim to recognise the achievement’s of the shire’s young people aged 12-25.
Corangamite Shire Youth Council mayor Ripley Watt, encouraged people to nominate.
“Anybody can make a nomination, it might be a young person you know through your local club, somebody in your community or a group of young people making a difference in community services or music,” she said.
Nominations are open until September 8 in categories including sport, workplace endeavour, community service, music, agriculture and performing arts.
Nominations can be made through an online form on the council’s website. Hard copy forms can also be downloaded at www.corangamite.vic.gov.au/YouthAwards or by contacting youth development officer Angela Gowans on 5593 7100.
