AN Echuca man charged mid last week with a string of burglaries in Colac has now been remanded in custody after allegedly committing more offences.

Lead investigation Detective Senior Constable Stuart Sims, of the Colac police crime investigation unit, said Paul Simpson, 44, was arrested on Friday for a second time for the week.
The accused was interviewed, charged and remanded in custody to appear in the Colac Magistrates Court on Monday, where he was further remanded in custody until September 25.
Mr Simpson was charged last week in relation to 13 burglaries on businesses in central Colac.
The charges on Friday related to break-ins committed overnight Thursday in central Colac at a real estate agency, a chiropractor business and two residential properties.
Stolen items included ammunition and a chain saw.
In Hamilton, a 37-year-old man was arrested and bailed to appear in court on November 8 charged with three counts of handling stolen goods.
Hamilton police raided a home at Martin Street on Tuesday morning and seized stolen property including a cordless drill.
His bail conditions include an overnight curfew and reporting to the Hamilton police station.
