After a thirty year break the Warrnambool health professional is hosting her first solo exhibition at The Artery.

Entitled Recent Paintings Susan’s collection includes a wide range of topics including botanicals, still life, studio scenes and family nostalgia.

“I stopped painting for 30 years to focus on study and work and raising children,” she said. “Then I discovered Factory Arts and it got me re-inspired.”

All of Susan’s paintings have been created in the last three years. “I always painted as a child and young adult,” she said. “I’m just finding my way again.”

Many pieces in the exhibition are a nostalgic look at Hook’s 1950/60’s childhood.

The exhibition runs from August 25 to September 17.
