The Power wing defence led the newly-merged club to its first and only Warrnambool and District league A grade premiership in 2003.
Now, some 14 seasons on, she is part of a Kolora-Noorat outfit striving to add a second flag to its collection.
Kolora-Noorat will play Timboon Demons in a first semi-final on Sunday after a gut-wrenching qualifying final overtime loss to reigning premier Dennington.
Mother-of-four Kenna said the prospect of winning a second Power premiership was exciting.
“It would be pretty special,” she said.
“I am 41, so every year I play is a bonus. I do love it.
“Every final you play, the older you get, the more you appreciate it.
“It’s a lot easier for me (to commit) now. When the kids were little it was hard to train but now I am committed twice a week to training.
“Fitness is something that’s always been important to me.”
Kenna believes the Power, under the tuteluge of coach and fellow 2003 premiership player Faye Clarke, has the ability to extend its season.
But she is wary of the Demons, stressing the evenness of the competition.
“We’ve played them twice – one went our way and one went their way,” Kenna said.
“I am expecting similar to the Dennington game, for it to be tight and evenly matched.
“It’s one of the most open races for grand final day in A grade than there has been for some years.
“All teams on their day can beat other teams.”
Kenna, a long-time Kolora-Noorat player, spent the 2016 season at Warrnambool and District league rival Panmure.
She decided to spend 12 months at the Bulldogs so she could play with one of her four sisters, Margie.
“It was my last opportunity to play with any of them so Margie and I coached the reserves together,” Kenna said.
“I made lifelong friends at Panmure. I had a terrific year there.”
