The police-hosted session on Wednesday will focus on personal safety and household security.
Inspector Gary Coombes said it was one of a number of sessions being held across the region, in part a response to increasing crime in the south-west. Camperdown has already hosted a forum aimed at businesses.
Camperdown Senior Constable Paul Marsland said one victim of crime was one too many. “The effects of crime can be devastating for individuals, even from what might be regarded as lower-level crimes,” he said.

Corangamite Shire community development officer Garry Moorfield said the session would focus on personal safety and household security.
“It will cover basic steps people can take to reduce their risk exposure, including simple ‘target hardening’ strategies,” he said.
Economic development officer and events marketing officer Samantha Fox said the shire and police were working with businesses and residents to implement simple steps to deter crime across the area.
“From these information sessions it is hoped that we can all look out for each other and work together to protect our local communities,” she said.
The forum will be held on Wednesday, August 23 from 7pm at the Killara Centre.
