What do you love about working in Port Fairy? Even though I live in Warrnambool, I always joke that Port Fairy is my second home. I love the lifestyle of both places. Being so close to the beach is great, and we are so spoilt for food and shopping, especially in Port Fairy!
Describe Port Fairy in five words? Relaxed, easy living, coastal city.
If you could live anywhere where would you choose? I would love to live in Italy. The food and culture has always interested me.
What is your favourite holiday destination? Dubai, there’s so much to see and do.
What are you reading at the moment? I’ve just started reading a book called Ready Player One.
If you had a million dollars what would you do with it? I would give some to a few dog rescue charities that I follow. I would also be sensible and pay off my house and travel with whatever is left.
What would your ideal Sunday involve? A sleep-in, having brunch out, taking the dogs to the beach with Nick, and reading, or watching whatever TV show I’m hooked on at the time.
If you could choose to go back 100 years or forward 100 years what would you do and why? Forward. It would be interesting to see how things have evolved and developed, to see what new technology has been created, and if it has made life easier or not.
What recipe are you renowned for cooking? Banoffee slice or pavlova.
When and where are you your most happiest? Probably when I’m travelling. Nick and I have a big trip planned for next year that I can’t wait for.
What is the best piece of advice you've been given? My parents have always told me not to let others’ opinions of me bother me, and to always stand up for myself. As long I’m happy, it doesn’t matter what others think.
Do you have a motto you live by? You can’t do anything with your money when you’re dead. Do what you can now. I’d rather have a life of interesting experiences than a huge bank balance.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Hopefully still owning Mangowood having grown the business as much as possible, and travelling.
