The annual Warrnambool Rangers Mini Roos Soccer Carnival is expected to draw about 100 children from across the region, with teams from the Warrnambool Rangers, Warrnambool Wolves, Hamilton and, for the first time, from the Corangamite Lions.
The carnival will see junior players across the under six, under nine and under 12 grades take part in matches.
Garrett Wyse, one of the Mini Roos coaches, said the day was going from strength-to-strength, with healthy numbers across the board.
“It’s probably our biggest day for the whole sub junior program,” he said. “It’s just a fun day and all the teams play against each other.
“The Rangers themselves will probably have about 60-70 players, because on Saturday mornings we get about 80 down there.
”We have such a phenomenal amount of junior players now.”
The Warrnambool Rangers Mini Roos Soccer Carnival will run from 10am until about 2pm.
