Nirranda Recreation Reserve was picked to host the final, but a forecast of heavy rain encouraged the executive to move to the clash to Noorat.
Merrivale Oval remains the likely venue for Saturday’s qualifying final, pending the green light from Warrnambool City Council.
AFL Western District operations coordinator Jason Moloney said the WDFNL executive consulted Nirranda’s committee prior to making the decision.
"Noorat is looking great,” Moloney said.
“The executive followed the recommendation of the committee and decided to hold off on the final.
“We ran a final at Noorat last year and had good success.”
The elimination final will take place on Sunday.
