Wannon MP Dan Tehan welcomed the funding under the National Partnership Agreement on Natural Disaster Resilience which was a collaboration between the federal government and state and territory governments to fund disaster resilience initiatives.
He said the seven projects funded in Wannon through $440,000 included Warrnambool City Council’s North Warrnambool floodplain management plan, Moyne Shire Cudgee flood investigation and the Southern Grampians Shire enhancing rural networks for community resilience. Each of the projects are funded jointly by the federal and state governments on a cost share basis with the applicants.
