South West TAFE will host the fest on October 20-21.
Event coordinator and TAFE teaching quality centre manager Robin Smith said the Maker Fest would give students and other locals a way to present their Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics (STEAM) activities and inventions.
Schools and the general public across south-west Victoria are invited to participate. The program will include workshops by inventors and makers in fields such as 3D printing and medical technology. The second day of the Maker Fest will coincide with South West TAFE’s Open Day.
Expressions of interest close on August 4. For further details please contact Robin Smith on 5564 8894 or email swmakerfest@swtafe.vic.edu.au.
