Key defender Luke Moutray is expected to line up on Allansford’s most dangerous forward as Jake Rhodes’ side vies to re-rail its season.
Moutray has been joined by versatile forward Chris Keilar, while Thomas Noonan has also been named.
Meanwhile, Nirranda has been bolstered by the return of the Warrnambool and District league’s leading goalkicker, Gary Robinson, who was last week a late withdrawal due to a virus.
Robinson is a straight swap for crumbing forward Robbie Gregg, who has fallen out of the side after aggravating a shoulder injury.
Gregg’s complaint, however, is not believed to be serious.
Defensive forward Jason Lee will also miss the clash after he was flung from a sulky while driving a harness horse at a meeting in Hamilton on Thursday.
“He managed to drive two winners or something after that, but hurting your ankle and driving from a sulky and running around playing football are totally different,” coach Shane Threlfall said.
Bottom-placed Allansford has regained assistant coach Brendan Chatfield for its Dennington bout.
The Cats will be without Port Fairy recruit Sam Martin, who injured his knee last week.
“Chatters got through training, so he’ll definitely play,” co-coach Ben Holloway said.
Fresh off a two-week break, Timboon Demons has welcomed defender Sam Newey back to its fold for its trip to Mack Oval.
Demons mentor Mick Hunt said Newey was a welcome addition to his side.
“He’s back from overseas. He got married and went about five or six weeks ago. He’s been back the last two, and trained through the break,” Hunt said.
“He’s a full-back, back pocket, back flanker – he can play anywhere at all. He’s very versatile and a player we like to have in the side for that option.”
South Rovers has also named Chris Moutray and Josh Malone to play.
