The Blues are assisting the commission with the review.
In a statement released on Facebook, AFL Western District confirmed it was not reviewing player points allocations at any other club in the south-west.
“If a potential breach of (AFL Victoria Player Points System Policy) is found to have occurred, AFL Western District Commission will convene a hearing, which will include relevant submissions from the Nirranda Football Netball Club,” the statement read.
The system was introduced in country and suburban football leagues statewide last season as part of AFL Victoria’s Community Club Sustainability Program – an equalisation initiative that will also mean salary caps are enforced from next season.
Each player is allocated a points value based on their experience and movement around leagues, with ‘home’ players – those who have played a minimum of 40 junior games at a club – worth one point and ex-AFL players worth the maximum six.
