On Friday night at the Lighthouse Theatre, Emmanuel College will induct seven past students into its Inspiring Alumni.
Mr Morgan said the legacy of St Ann’s College, which joined with Christian Brothers College to form Emmanuel College, comes through clearly in this year’s intake.
“In 2015, our inductees were all male, but this year we will induct six female alumni and one male,” Mr Morgan said.
“Overall, when you look at all the inductees since 2009, we have achieved a great gender balance in a world that often does not.
“This perhaps reflects the culture of St Ann’s College, a school that was certainly ahead of its time in providing a quality education for girls even before women could vote.”
