Conlan, 21, is in her fourth year of a masters of teaching course at ACU in Melbourne.
The former Emmanuel College student has found a novel way to help pay her way through university.
Conlan is the lead singer for the Luna Moonies, a children’s entertainment group that was formed four years ago.
With one album to its name and an increasing profile in Melbourne, Conlan is excited about the group’s future.
“We play a lot of children’s festivals in Melbourne,” Conlan said.
“We played as part of the Good Friday appeal at the Exhibition Centre, that has been our biggest show so far. We are keen to keep working and see where it takes us.”
The group has just received some national exposure with magazine Take 5 using it to promote its latest puzzle page competition.
The Luna Moonies are a creation of toy inventor and children’s author Edward Zammit.
