TWO people were taken to hospital with “moderate injuries” after a single vehicle crash near Woolsthorpe on Sunday morning. Police said the car crashed into a ditch on the Heywood-Woolsthorpe Road shortly before 9am. Three SES appliances attended along with 12 crew members, who worked with Ambulance crews to release the two occupants trapped in the vehicle. Warrnambool SES rescue Commander Stephen Bakker said trees had to be cleared to enable satisfactory access to the vehicle and the casualties.
