The Steph Jamieson-led Bulldogs piled on 15 goals to four in an first-term blitz on their way to a 66-22 victory at Reid Oval.
Jamieson said it was important Panmure, which has five wins to its credit, finished the Warrnambool and District league A grade season strongly.
The first-year mentor said they showed signs of what they’re capable of against the bottom-placed Bombers – a side still chasing a win in 2017.
“Before the game we were saying we needed to encourage each other a lot more and when someone does something good, we need to get around them and pump up the team,” she said.
Jamieson, who praised defensive duo Amelia Bant and Amy Drew, said the Bulldogs bucked their trend of poor starts.
She said the opening term gave them confidence which they carried through the entire match.
“We played pretty well yesterday, so I was pretty happy,” she said.
