The Portland export gathered 14 disposals and took four marks in the Saints’ 42-point loss to Sydney at the SCG on Saturday.
Marshall, 21, was overlooked in three national drafts before St Kilda took a punt on him as a rookie.
He was the fourth Hampden league export to make his AFL debut in 2017, joining Brisbane duo Hugh McCluggage (South Warrnambool) and Cedric Cox (Brisbane) and Fremantle ruckman Sean Darcy (Cobden).
Marshall was drafted via Heathmere and Portland.
He played for TAC Cup side Greater Western Victoria Rebels and VFL outfit North Ballarat Roosters.
