The gesture is part of the league’s mental health round, which will support The Ripple Effect, a beyondblue STRIDE Project program that aims to help young males from farming communities affected by suicide.
HFNL president Peter Watson said the league had made a donation to The Ripple Effect this week and, in addition to players wearing blue armbands, there would be collection tins around the grounds this weekend.
“We thought it was a great idea to select something that really fits our area,” he said.

“The league is happy and proud to be associated with The Ripple Effect.”
