Moyne Shire representatives met with the Hawkesdale & District Development Action Committee on Wednesday night to talk about the wind farm’s application for a planning permit amendment.
The application to the state planning minister would see the number of turbines reduced from 31 to 26 and the height of the turbines go from 126.3 metres to 180 metres to capitalise on technological improvements made since the wind farm was first approved.
If successful, it will be the fifth Moyne Shire wind farm to get such a planning permit amendment. The amendment does not change the location of the wind farm.
