Brendan Propsting, 34, of no fixed address, unsuccessfully applied for bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court.
He has been banned from Madden's Commercial Hotel, the IGA supermarket and the Camperdown news agency for his anti-social and threatening behaviour.
Mr Propsting was arrested at the weekend after being within 100 metres of the hotel, which was in breach of his bail conditions.
He went to the hotel to buy cask wine and when told he was banned from the hotel became threatening and abusive.
Police said he had previously assaulted the hotel owner and staff were fearful of Mr Propsting because of his aggressive behaviour.
