Bill Moore was announced as club president at the changeover dinner earlier this month.
Mr Moore replaces Adrian Crosier who will stay on the executive as the immediate past president.
Other executive members are Sue Robertson (president elect and president nominee for 2018/19), Peter Smith (secretary), Jeff McLean (treasurer), Bernie Waixel (director community projects) and Jill Gleeson (director youth, public relations and membership).
In his acceptance speech to club members, Mr Moore said it was a privilege to be elected as president.
“It’s a great time to be taking over the presidency of the Port Fairy Rotary Club,” Mr Moore said.
“You can see from all the activities that the club successfully undertakes that it’s a well-run club.
“When I compare what our club does with other clubs, our range of activities and participation rate is at the highest level.”
Part of Mr Moore’s plans for the year ahead includes conducting a club assembly to review the current strategic plan and invitations to local organisations to support the club as corporate members.
