Koroit says thanks to its bank tellers as ANZ branch closes

THE Koroit community has said a heartfelt thank you to the staff at its ANZ branch.

About 70 people gathered at the Koroit Senior Citizens Centre on Sunday for an afternoon tea in honour of Sue Robinson and Julie Bushell.

The pair have been at the Koroit ANZ branch since it opened in 2002 and had their final day behind the counter a few weeks ago.

The branch closed July 10.

Lyn Marney, who organised the afternoon tea, said it was a great opportunity for the community to show their appreciation to the two former ANZ employees.

“Sue and Julie were delighted and so overwhelmed,” Ms Marney said.

“Everyone loves them, and Sue and Julie were so appreciative. It was a good way for them to say goodbye and for the people to say goodbye.”
