Former Maskell Medallist Joe Dare (shoulder) and talented teen Trent Reed (TAC Cup) return to the side, with Ryan Smith (adductor) the only confirmed out.
Bombers coach Levi Dare said Joe, who is playing his first senior match since April, had proven his fitness in two reserves games and would be likely to take on a midfield or defensive role.
“He’s right to go; he’s not coming in underdone,” Dare said. “It’s good to have both Reed and Joe, both quality players.”
North Warrnambool Eagles have made one change for the contest, with Liam Lyons in for Ben Mugavin.
Camperdown has made a couple of changes for its game against Terang Mortlake. Brett Ryan is set to miss with a hamstring injury, while Marcus Hamilton has returned home to the Northern Territory for a couple of weeks.
Magpies coach Phil Carse said, in a bittersweet note for his club, that there was a good chance his team would see little of Hamilton in the second half of the season after the talented recruit secured a spot on North Ballarat Roosters’ VFL list.
“That was the whole reason we got him (to give him this chance),” Carse said.
Luke Clarke and Luke O’Neil return to the Magpies’ line-up to take on the Bloods, who traded in Sam McLean and Greater Western Victoria Rebels pair Scott Carlin and Harry Hobbs for Tom McKenzie (overseas), Tom Arundell and Jake Crawley (omission).
Warrnambool has made three forced changes to its side to take on top team Port Fairy, with Darcy Graham (lower leg), Otto Opperman (suspension) and Nick Alexandrou (thumb) all out.
Rob Bright and GWV Rebels-listed Matt Schnerring and Mitchell Bidmade return to the Blues’ line-up.
John Cook said Graham had been cleared of any break after going down in the opening two minutes last Saturday, but was waiting on MRI results to see the extent of any soft-tissue injury.
Port Fairy has made just one change for the game, with Cam Pevitt (work commitments) coming back into the line up for the omitted Jordan Scott.
Koroit will welcome a couple of big names back into its line up, with Dallas Mooney (illness) and Damian O’Connor (managed) set to take on South Warrnambool in a top-of-the-table clash. South named an extended eight-man bench for the clash.
