Warrnambool based jumps jockey Shane Jackson gave a glowing report to Dusty Mamba’s trainer Symon Wilde after the 2400 metre trial.
Jackson, 30, said Dusty Mamba was a different type of horse than Hissing Sid.
“Hissing Sid loved wet tracks,” the Irish born Jackson said.
“Dusty Mamba does not like it really wet. He’s a very good jumper.
“We've done a lot of schooling with him, and he shows great potential.
“I reckon Casterton would be an ideal place to start his jumping career.”
Wilde’s dad Bill purchased Hissing Sid at the 2006 Inglis Yearling Sales for $25,000, before winning the Warrnambool Cups in 2009 and 2010.
The versatile galloper won ten races including three over jumps and picked up more than $560,000 in stakemoney for his large group of connections.
