The star-studded side managed a fifth-place finish, failing to qualify for the Open grade finals.
McNamara, the head coach of Hampden league side Cobden, said the competition was fierce.
“It was highly competitive and we had some strong opposition,” she said.
“I think it’s a great experience to play at that high level and against opponents you don’t often come up against.”
The Hampden league side defeated Essendon and District and Ellinbark and District sides, but crashed out after losing to Riddell District.
In the under 17 division, the Jody Roth-coached Hampden side also finished fifth on one victory.
Roth’s side defeated Albury by five goals.
The Hampden league under 13 side, led by Danielle McInerney, also finished fifth with one win.
McInerney said the experience allowed juniors to grow into new positions and roles.
“They learn to play with other girls from other clubs, and to play a team game because there are seven good players on the court,” she said.
“It’s a good learning curve.”
