Sergeant Andrew Rolfe of Colac police said the plants were found growing in bedrooms in the house after police received information from the public.
He said the hydroponic arrangement was powered through an unsafe bypass of the electrical mains system and Powercor was brought in to make the house safe.
Sergeant Rolfe said the plants were about one metre high and were about one month away from being harvested.
Seven police officers raided the Colac house about 4.30pm on Friday and the plants have removed from the property.
Sergeant Rolfe said police enquiries were continuing and people were expected to be interviewed soon.
