A WARRNAMBOOL man was incredibly lucky not to have suffered a life-threatening injury after being stabbed to the neck on Monday night.

Detective Senior Constable Sally Frazer, of the Warrnambool plice crime investigation unit, said there was an incident at Warrnambool's Ocean Grove on Monday about 6pm.
The 48-year-old resident called emergency services after suffering a stab wound to the left side of his neck.
He was transported by ambulance to Warrnambool Base Hospital, was assessed and treated but then discharged himself against the advice of hospital staff.
Detective Senior Constable Frazer said the victim had not cooperated with police officers.
"It appears he was extremely lucky not to have suffered a life-threatening injury," she said.
"He has suffered a stab wound to his neck and detectives expect to speak to victim again on Tuesday," she said.
