Get your glow sticks ready for this year’s The Standard’s Fun4Kids Festival.

For the first time ever the festival’s opening hours will be extended until 7pm and glow yoga is one of the new night sessions on offer.

Hatha yoga teacher Peta Jolley will lead the sessions which include various poses, movement to music, story telling and relaxation activities for families to wind down at the end of a busy day at the festival.

The Fun4Kids Festival Stage area will be a sight to behold when hundreds of children and parents get their glow on and perform yoga.

And it’s a matter of the brighter the better for the sessions which will include imagination, laughter and learning through play.

“The children love it,” Ms Jolley said. “They laugh and giggle but have a full relax... At the start they can’t balance on one leg and by the end they can.”

She said it was a chance for families to take some time out to relax. “It’s really calming because Fun4Kids is go go go. It’s a good way for families to have some quiet time together.”
