Franklin is one of several big names set to come under Match Review Panel scrutiny on Monday, along with Sam Mitchell, Joel Selwood, Nick Riewoldt and Luke Shuey.

They headline the list of players who will be looked at by the MRP, which is rounded out by North Melbourne's Scott Thompson, West Coast's Matt Rosa and Carlton's Dale Thomas.

Each player should be helped by the fact that the opponents they struck played out the rest of their games, however their fate also lies in the way the MRP will interpret the severity of intentions, impact and contact.

Of the seven players in trouble Shuey and Rosa appear most likely to be suspended.

Shuey, the Eagles' 2016 best and fairest winner, will likely receive a one match ban (with an early guilty plea) for his high bump on Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield.

???Shuey chose to run past the ball to bump, resulting in his upper arm connecting with Dangerfield's head. The Cats' Brownlow Medallist completed the game.

Former Eagle and current Gold Coast Sun Rosa is in doubt for round 14 after his high strike on Carlton's Dale Thomas on Saturday night.

Rosa's arm connected with Dale Thomas' head as he threw a round arm strike at the Carlton veteran. The incident will likely result in a one match ban with an early guilty plea.

West Coast play Melbourne at Domain Stadium in round 14 while Gold Coast travel to Melbourne to face St Kilda.

Franklin should only be hit with a fine for his bump on Menadue, although the incident could be judged as deserving of a suspension.

He was reported for rough conduct but replays showed Franklin did not make clean contact with Medadue's head, rather he struck the shoulder and rib area.

Menadue had his head over the ball when Franklin chose to bump rather than tackle or tussle for possession.

The Richmond midfielder got up and played on. If the MRP deem Franklin's conduct high instead of to the body, as well as intentional, Franklin may cop a one week ban.

Menadue told Fox Sports on Sunday that he felt a little sore later in the game, but had no serious concerns after the bump.

"It was more my shoulder than my head ... I wasn't really dazed (at the time)," he said.

Sydney's unlikely run for a finals spot continues next week against Essendon at the SCG.

On Thursday night in Perth Selwood fell on top of Mitchell and his forearm/hand struck the former Hawthorn player on his head/upper neck area.

If the MRP deem the conduct careless, rather than intentional, he should only be fined, however that could go either way.

Mitchell remonstrated with Selwood by wrestling him to the ground and his round arm swing around the Geelong captain's neck should escape sanction.

The AFL's crackdown on punching will be tested again, this time via Riewoldt and Thompson's conduct.

Both swung deliberate punches at one another, both connecting to the body. It is likely they will be deemed intentional and low impact to the body, resulting in a fine.

Finally, Dale Thomas who was earlier bumped by Rosa, will have conduct of his own examined by the MRP.

He bumped Suns' player Adam Saad, with part of his shoulder catching Saad's head. Both players were vying for a loose ball and Dale Thomas hit Saad high in the act of bracing for contact.

If the incident is deemed careless, low impact and high contact then Dale Thomas will only be fined. However if the MRP deems the impact medium he may be suspended for a week.

Meanwhile in the VFL North Melbourne's Lindsay Thomas, playing for Werribee, will likely be suspended for striking.

The small-forward, in his return game from a three-week suspension after a crude bump on Casey's Corey Maynard, elbowed Northern Blues player Rhys Palmer in the face while trying to fend off his tackle.
