O’Keeffe, who is lead singer and guitarist for hard-rock band Airbourne, won a Metal Hammer magazine Golden God Award.
O’Keeffe won the award for the shredder category, which is a style of guitar playing.
He beat a field that included Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth), Phil Manansala (Of Mice & Men), Ben Bruce (Asking Alexandria) and Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan) for the award.
