Laughter Yoga will be held at Warrnambool’s Lake Pertobe (near mini golf) from 09:30am to 10:00am on Saturday.
Old Time Dancing and Scottish Country Dancing will feature at Warrnambool’s Anglican Church on Koroit Street from 8pm with supper provided.
Warrnambool 3 Year Old Kinder are hosting a movie fundraiser on Saturday at Warrnambool’s Capitol Theatre. The group will premier Despicable Me 3 from 10.30am. Tickets will include a small snack.
Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre are showing ‘Echoes of Pink Floyd’ from 8pm on Saturday. The tribute band will be accompanied by the Emmanuel College Choir for a sequence from the 1979 The Wall album.
PhysioPole Studios are hosting a come-and-try day at their pole dancing studio on Lava Street from 1pm.
SUNDAY
FRIENDS of Pallisters Reserve are hosting an Open Day on Sunday. The nature reserve will showcase its flora and fauna in an effort to restore the sanctuary to its original state. The sessions will run from 10am to 12 noon and 2pm to 4pm with tea, coffee and lunch provided.
The Cobden Miniature Railway Park will open from 11am to 4pm on Sunday. The family-friendly venue provides miniature train rides, 18 hole mini golf, canteen, children's playground and barbecue facilities.
On Sunday you can access the walk to the Mount Elephant Crater. The walk from the car park to the crater rim is 2km return. The walk to the peak and around the crater rim is an extra 3km. Authorities advise car park to rim is one hour return and add 1.5 hrs for the extended walk.
Warrnambool’s Seventh Day Adventist church is hosting a hall sale on Sunday from 9am. Household items, clothing, toys and bric-a-brac will be for sale accompanied by hot food and drinks.
Warrnambool’s Fresh Market is on at Lake Pertobe from 9am to 1pm. Stalls will offer fresh food, coffee, flowers, cakes and hand-made goods.
Portland are hosting their fifth annual Winter Solstice Fun Run on Sunday. The event begins at 7am and offers three challenging runs and achievement walks for participants, live music and prizes until 1pm.
It’s whale season and while there are no guarantees you’ll spot one, Warrnambool’s Logan’s Beach nursery have welcomed a mother and her calves recently.
