The Friends of Pallisters Reserve will host an open day on Sunday to showcase the project where volunteers work to protect and retain the natural landscape and its inhabitants.
The reserve boasts more than 125 bird species, including the brolga, more than 25 orchid varieties, and other indigenous plants.
Committee member Peter Carrucan said open day activities would include bush walks, bird observing, plant identification, water quality testing, sensor camera use, seed collecting, propagation, and revegetation.
Mr Carrucan encouraged people to attend the workshops, learn about past and present projects, share knowledge and impact the local landscape through action. Suitable clothing and footwear is advised. Sessions run from 10am -12pm and 2pm- 4pm at 457 Masons Road, Orford. Lunch and refreshments provided.
