The city’s car dealerships have got behind the promotion, which is already offering a $1 million prize for a lucky shopper spending money at Liebig or Koroit Street businesses.
Under the new prize, someone will get the chance to spend $100,000 at either Callaghan Motors, Warrnambool Toyota, Clinton Baulch Motor Group, Norton Motor Group or Warrnambool Auto Group.
Shoppers need to spend $30 or more at participating businesses up until October 1 for the chance to go in the running for the $1 million and the car deal.
Warrnambool City Council economic development and investment manager Shaun Miller said it was pleasing to see car dealers get behind the promotion.
“The commitment by the car dealers shows they believe that a thriving city centre helps create a thriving Warrnambool,” he said.
“It’s a great show of collective support from our major car dealerships for our city centre traders.”
To be in the running, shoppers need to keep their receipt when they spend more than $30 at participating CBD businesses. Entry forms can then be found at www.cbd.warrnambool.vic.gov.au
One of the entries will then be selected at random to take part in the draw for the $1 million prize.
This successful entrant will be contacted before the main prize draw in November this year.
The main prize draw will feature in an event to celebrate the completion of Stage I of the City Centre Renewal project.
