It’s a simple logic, but South Warrnambool captain Melody Keath says the Roosters are starting to reap the rewards from a better understanding of their new combinations.
It was there last week when they took the challenge up to Hampden open grade netball heavyweight Camperdown last week, and she hopes to see it go another step further when they tackle Cobden on Saturday.
“We were pretty pleased – we had really good patches throughout the game,” Keath said.
“We moved the ball really well and Eliza (Dwyer), our goal shooter, is finding her way a little bit more.
“Our shooting end has been a big area of improvement and the transition through to there has been positive.”

Keath lauded the efforts of defenders Hannah Loveday and Ally O’Connor, who had been solid contributors, while another young player in Ashlee Anderson has been named for the open grade side this week.
“She’s played a little bit with us,” Keath said. “Every time she’s played, she’s a midfield gun, so we’re really happy to have her stepping up.
“I love seeing the junior development and I guess that’s what our club is all about.”
