The Hampden Hurricanes team for their first hit out of 2017.
The Hampden Hurricanes started their season on the perfect note with a win on the road against Wimmera Whippets at Horsham last Sunday. Hurricanes coach Damian Thornton said the 8.9 (57) to 3.4 (22) win was a great reward for effort after a six-week training block. “The numbers were good and the game was really good,” he said. “We had nearly 30 players. It was a good hit out. We played well.” Thornton said the Hurricanes were “pumped” how the day went.
