Round two of the Good Music Neighbours program has opened with a pool of $25,000 on offer for venues to upgrade their sound attenuation.
Warrnambool venue The Loft was successful in gaining funding from the program last year. The funding from the program is aimed at minimising the sound impact on surrounding homes and businesses.
Last year, The Loft was one of 26 venues across Victoria to share in the funding.
Music Victoria CEO Patrick Donovan said the second round of funding would enable more venues to take advantage of the government support.
“Music Victoria was thrilled with the take up of the first round of Good Music Neighbours grants and the positive outcomes achieved for the live music sector and their neighbours,” he said.
“We urge all venues who haven’t applied to consider your buildings needs and whether a Good Music Neighbours grant can help you improve amenity in your area.”
Applications close on Wednesday 7 June.
