The Woolsthorpe Primary School students were some of the more than 300 children from across the region to participate in the Education Week activity held at Warrnambool’s Lake Pertobe.
Children completed physical and mental challenges to unlock clues at sessions from Tuesday to Thursday.
Flagstaff Hill education officer and event co-ordinator Jan Barkla said the Education Week theme was healthy mind, healthy body.
Mrs Barkla said feedback about the inaugural event had been positive and they would consider running another race in the future.
Students from Warrnambool and district, Hamilton, Hawkesdale and Macarthur participated in the challenge.
Teacher Sarah Daly said it was a great chance for the children to get out of the classroom and be active.
She said the Amazing Race encouraged students to strategise and work together with students that they hadn’t worked with before.
