A large crowd turned out for the festival with pumpkins of all different guises the stars of the show.
In the kitchen, pumpkin soup was being expertly cooked and then served to enthusiastic customers.
Pumpkins of many varieties where on show while some were still growing on the vine in the garden.
Warrnambool Community Garden spokesperson Hannah Chisholm said she was thrilled with the turn out.
“We thought having a pumpkin festival would be a great way to celebrate the autumn harvest,” Ms Chisholm said.
“We have had a great response, there have been a lot of young families come along to enjoy the day.”
Ms Chisholm said it was hoped the pumpkin festival will develop into an annual celebration.
