Stud principal Clinton Baulch said the stud sold the $10,000 bull, Jaclinton Leveraction L14, to Michael Turra of Mansfield.
Jaclinton Leveraction was one of six bulls the Illowa stud sold at the national Hereford show, gaining an average price of $6000.
The stud also bought Mawarra Oklahoma L064 at the Hereford show for $16,000 from Mawarra Poll Herefords in Gippsland.
Mr Baulch established Jaclinton Poll Herefords in 2008 and presently sells about 20 bulls a year.
He said he had chosen Poll Herefords because he liked their good temperament and were an “easy doing animal.”
