A person has been killed in a single vehicle accident on Heath Road.
Portland police Senior Constable Rachael McMahon confirmed the sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
The accident occurred about 6.30am.
Senior Constable McMahon asked motorists to stay away from the area and seek alternative routes.

Senior Constable Rachael McMahon, of Portland police, said the section of Dougherties Road from West Wilson Road to Heath Road was closed and motorists would need to seek alternate routes.
She said people on their way to the airport would need to take a detour and the closure may affect school buses.
It is not known if anyone was injured in the crash.
