If you like a bit of fright in your life, look no further than Shake & Stir’s production of Dracula, which rises from the crypt at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre on Monday night.
Bram Stoker’s legendary gothic horror tale follows young lawyer Jonathan Harker as he visits Castle Dracula deep in the Carpathian mountains, where his mysterious host is all too keen to invite Harker in for dinner.
Shake & Stir have visited Warrnambool in recent years with adaptations of George Orwell novels 1984 and Animal Farm.
This new version of Stoker’s twisted tale has sold out around the country and is part of the Lighthouse Theatre’s high profile theatre season.
But be warned – this show is not for the faint of heart.
“It’s such a wonderful experience to hear people gasping in fright and jumping out their chairs – I do encourage every-one to go out, see this production,” Australian Stage wrote in its review.
The show features simulated violence, sexual and supernatural themes, haze and strobe lighting. Tickets are available by calling 5559 4999.
